New Years is all about spending time with friends, so how appropriate that a cluster of planets are currently partying together in your 11th house of friendship? Just be careful, cause this party could get a little out of control. The new moon that occurs on the first day of the year is conjunct Pluto and Mercury, and squaring Mars in your 8th house of money. Over the next week or so, an issue might come up with a friend- possibly involving money. Perhaps you find a  friendship or two going through a profound transformation. This house also rules both technology and your hopes and dreams for the future, so keep an eye on these areas as well. With Mars in your financial house, you may hear bad money news. Uranus is ALMOST squaring from your 2nd house of income as well, doubling down on this possibility. On the second, the sun will exactly conjunct Pluto, so this might be the day the issue comes up. On the 3rd, Mercury in the 11th will oppose Jupiter in your 5th house of love, fun, and children, and creative projects may stall. Alternatively, a friend may need your help and this could conflict with plans you had with your love or a child. It’s more of the same on the 5th, when it’s the Sun’s turn to oppose Jupiter. The sun rules your house of work and health, and Jupiter rules your career house, so work and career matters may prove fuzzy on this day. On the 7th, Mercury will conjunct Venus in your friendship/hopes and dreams sector. You may hear good news about a writing project, or perhaps receive a love letter that fills you with warm fuzzies. With Venus retrograde in this sector, you may be noticing that a certain “friend” of yours is looking…rather…attractive? Could that person be more than a friend to you? You have the whole month to figure it out, as the potential for romance should become clear by the time Venus goes direct on February 1st- just in time for Valentine’s Day! Watch the 11th as a day when romance could soar! The Sun will conjunct Venus, and sextile Saturn in your 9th house of travel. Sparks could fly on a trip with friends. Unfortunately, the 9th is day that may prove to be a headache, as Jupiter in the 5th squares Mars in the 8th. You may fight with your love about money, or a child could have a big expense. The 16th sees a full moon in Cancer at 25 degrees, in your 5th house of love and fun, and Saturn will be supportive from your 9th house of travel and publishing. You might make it official with a beau, or learn of a pregnancy. Any fishes with creative publishing or writing projects may hear news at this time. If you have a grown child, they may hear news about university or travel. Also on this day, Venus will square Mars, so whatever comes up could get expensive. Towards the end of the month, planets will migrate to your 12th house of rest and retreat, and you may find things slow down. Mercury heads there on the 12th, and this would be a good time to work on any creative writing projects you’ve had rattling around your brain. The Sun follows on the 21st, and on the 29th it sextiles Uranus in Aries and your 2nd house of income. You may hear good money news on this day, especially if you work in a creative or medical field. On the 31st, Pluto in your house of friendships and long-term goals will oppose Jupiter in your 5th house of fun and love. You may be wrestling with how to both play on a team and stand out from the crowd on your own. Perhaps you want to strike out on your own with a creative project, but find yourself wrapping up group collaborations or previous commitments. Keep forging, Pisces. It will be easier to move forward with any creative or romantic endeavors when Jupiter goes direct in March.

Oh, Aries. You’re known to be a feisty fighter, and you sure have been proving it lately! Luckily, the second half of 2014 will be absolutely divine for you, welcome news after a year like 2013!

Before we get to that, however, let’s back up. 2014 starts out on a rough note, with a new moon in your career house that’s conjunct Pluto and Mercury, square your ruler Mars in your 7th house of partners, square Uranus in your own sign, AND square Jupiter in your 4th. Ouch. These are hitting all the angles of your chart, and there’s seems to be a tug of war going on between your home and career needs. Perhaps a new career opportunity is proving to be a lot more challenging than you anticipated, or you’re having troubles with your father or another authority figure in your life. Alternatively, you might be spending so much time on home or personal matters that you’re neglecting your job. The 10th house (where this nasty new moon takes place) also rules marriage, so you may be dealing with conflict in this area- perhaps your family isn’t pleased with your spouse, or your marriage is hitting a rough patch.

Luckily, the end of January is more friendly, with a full moon occurring in your 4th house of home supported by Saturn in your 8th house of other people’s money. A home loan may come through, or perhaps your partner comes into a bonus or inheritance of some kind.

February is friendly too, with a new moon in your house of hopes and dreams supported by Uranus in your own sign. You may hear sudden good news about something close to your heart, or a friend may pull through for you in a big way. This month also sees a full moon in your 5th house of true love sextile Mars in your 7th house of partnerships. A love matter may culminate, and you may finally make it official! Aries who are already coupled up may discover a pregnancy, or perhaps decide to have kids around this time. Alternatively, Aries in the wrong relationship may break up. I don’t really foresee this happening, but if it does, rest assured that the universe is only looking out for you, encouraging you to take the steps to meet someone else.

March is looking fine and divine, with a new moon in your 12th house of closure conjunct Neptune and trine Jupiter in your 4th house. You may move around this time, or perhaps bundle yourself up at home to work on a creative project. The moon will also sextile Pluto in your 10th house, indicating that your career needs will jive nicely with your home needs. With Saturn also providing support from your 8th house of resources, it looks like any financial needs will be met as well. How lucky for you! Perhaps you find the money to move to a new home that’s closer to your work, or your father or a prominent man in your life becomes instrumental in a home matter. One chapter of your life appears to be closing. but luckily any loose ends you need to tie up should go smoothly.

This is good news, because the new beginnings that you launch in April will come with a little bit of turbulence, my dear. The new moon in your sign will conjunct Uranus, indicating that something will come up out of the blue. The moon squares Jupiter in your house of home, and Pluto in your house of career. Later in the month, Mars in your house of partnerships will square as well, and you might see some fireworks around matters of this nature! As usual, the fight seems to be between home and career, or family and marriage. A new career venture may upset your family or partner, or perhaps you have to change careers to suit your partner’s or family’s needs. Don’t fret- while you may encounter challenges in these areas, the universe is just asking you to make changes that will suit you best in the long run. Rome wasn’t built in a day, right? Soon these planets will move on, having transformed these sections of your life to their liking.

Luckily, April isn’t all tough, as there are two friendly eclipses. The first takes place in Libra and your house of partnerships, bringing a partnership matter to a conclusion. You may make it official, or unfortunately, you could break it off. My feeling is that the former will occur, and you will become very serious with someone. Marriage may even be in the cards for you. This is because the north node will have moved into this same sector in March, putting all of your focus on a partner. Let’s not forget that Mars, your ruler, is also in this sector for 8 months- until July 2014. The universe certainly seems to want you to put your own needs on the back burner for a minute so that you can focus on a partner. If you’re the independent type (you’re an Aries- of course you’re independent!) this may be frustrating for you, but hopefully the north node’s transit will make you appreciate the rewards that come with compromise and collaboration.

The other eclipse taking place in April is in Taurus and your second house of income and self-worth. This one will conjunct Mercury and sextile Neptune in your 12th house of endings. You appear to be starting a new job or source of income at this time (Mercury rules your 6th house of work and your 3rd house of contracts). Neptune’s presence indicates an artistic or creative angle, and the 12th house reinforces this. You may begin a writing project, perhaps a novel or screenplay, that will be a great source of income for you 6 months down the road. Alternatively, a new marriage may increase both your financial status and your sense of well-being and health. If you sign any kind of contract, be sure to read the details closely, as Neptune can cast an idealistic fog over anything he touches.

The big news of 2014 is Jupiter’s move from Cancer to Leo. This is huge news for you, Aries! While it was nice to have Jupiter in your house of home, it can be tough to have any big planet square to your sun, as Jupiter has been since July 2013. Not only will Jupiter move out of the square and into your 5th house of true love, fun, and children, but it will also move into a fellow fire sign, giving you an extra blast of good fortune! Even better, it will stay there for a whole year- until July 2015! Yippee Ki-Yay, mothereffers!

In July, Jupiter will conjunct the new moon in your 5th house, and you may begin an amazing new relationship, or even hear joyful pregnancy news! Single and dating? Get down with your bad self. Date around, play the field, and explore your options. You might not meet the love of your life, but you may just meet Mr. Right Now (do be careful though- you are a fertile mertile during this time!).

August will see a minor hiccup with a friend or long-term project. The full moon in this sector will sextile Uranus in your own sign, oppose Mercury in your partnership sign, and square Saturn in your 8th house of other people’s money. A long-term project may hit a financing snag, or perhaps you fight with a friend or business partner over money.

Luckily, fall of 2014 is yours for the taking. Jupiter in your 5th house of love, children, and fun, will trine Uranus in your own sign in September, and October 8th sees an eclipse making a golden triangle between your 1st house, 5th house, and Mars in your 9th house of travel. A creative writing project may take off like wildfire, or you may get engaged or announce a baby. Alternatively, you could go on a fun trip with a lover or child!

October also sees a solar eclipse in your 8th house of other people’s money that’s conjunct Venus and Sextile Neptune in your 12th house of endings. You may receive a bonus or inheritance, or perhaps your partner comes into some funds. Adding to the great news, Saturn will leave this sector on December 24th, 2014 (although he will return briefly in 2015), easing any financial pressures you’ve felt over the past few years. All in all, 2014 is looking to be a great one, Aries. You’ve been through the fire lately, but this is your year to rise from the ashes. Enjoy it!

The Sun joins Mercury and Saturn in your house of family and home this month, and seeing as it’s the start of the holiday season, the timing couldn’t be better! The big news this month is the solar eclipse in this same sector on the 3rd. Unlike last month’s crappy new moon, this eclipse is nicely angled to other planets. Mars is sextiling from your 2nd house of income, and Pluto is sextiling from your 6th house of work assignments. If you are planning to buy or sell a house, or if you work in real estate, these are really excellent aspects. Additionally, any work performed from or on the home gets a positive boost. Saturn will be conjunct the eclipse, giving stability to whatever venture you begin. It’s not ideal that the eclipse happens during Mercury retrograde, but luckily Mercury goes direct on the 11th- welcome news for any Lions experiencing delays on the home front. On the 12th, Mercury will trine Neptune in your house of other people’s money, and funds might come in the shape of an inheritance or home loan. Even better, the following day, November 13th, the Sun in the 4th will trine Jupiter in your 12th house of closure- an excellent aspect for closing a deal on a new housing situation. I’d save any key initiatives for this day. One thing you’ll have to contend with is Jupiter’s retrograde on the 7th. Over the next few months, you may have to re-do any creative or health work you’ve been tending to, just to make sure you’re getting it all right. Also, watch out for the 6th when your ruler, the Sun, will conjunct Saturn. This could be a somber time for some Lions, especially those whose birthdays fall around Aug 6. Venus spends the month in your 6th house of work and health and trines Neptune on the 8th. Funding for a work assignment may come through or perhaps you’ll find a lower rate on your health insurance through the new health exchanges. Watch out for the 15th, when Venus will conjunct Pluto in your work house- this could be a healing influence, but Uranus in Aries will be squaring both planets so make sure you keep your eyes open in regards to any travel that comes up. There’s a full moon in your 10th house of career on the 17th. Think back to any discussions set in motion by the solar eclipse in this sector back in May- developments may culminate now.  Jupiter is nicely angled to the full moon, so you should like what you hear. Perhaps a promotion is in order? A few days later, on the 19th, Mars in your income house will also sextile Jupiter, so your salary may get a bump along with your title. Why don’t you use your new funds to buy the family turkey this year? Bet your mom would appreciate it!

Virgo

This month sees you scurrying around like a busy little bee, as the Sun joins your ruler, Mercury, and Saturn in your 3rd house of communication. Emails, correspondence, and errands seem to pop up like crazy- and here you were thinking Thanksgiving would be a vacation! The eclipse in Scorpio on the 3rd takes place in this same sector, and is nicely angled to Mars in your sign, and Pluto in your 5th house of true love and creativity. This is a great time to sign a contract, and anything you hear about a sibling should be blessed with good fortune. The eclipse will be conjunct Saturn, which is known to be a planet of limitations, however in this instance, I think Saturn will be like a strong set of muscles helping you implement whatever action you wish to take. However, I would wait until November 12th to initiate anything. On this day, the Sun in the 3rd will trine Jupiter in your 11th house of hopes and dreams, giving you the best luck of the month. Additionally, your ruler, Mercury, will have gone direct again by this time. Welcome news for many virgins who may have felt a little topsy-turvy over the last few weeks. In other news, Venus spends the month in  your 5th house of true love, adding a little oomph to your love life. Mars is still in your first house, giving you drive and energy in spades! Sounds like a pretty sexy month to me! When Venus sextiles Neptune in your partnership house on the 8th, you may even feel like a school kid in love again. Just watch out for the 6th, when the Sun will conjunct Saturn and you may find yourself with your foot in your mouth (again). Also, Jupiter goes retrograde on the 7th for a few months, forcing you to review any longterm goals and make needed changes. On the 15th, Venus will conjunct Pluto in your partnership sector. You may reach a turning point in a relationship. It should turn out alright, but with Uranus in Aries squaring the pair, it’s likely that money will part of the conversation. The full moon in fellow earth sign Taurus on the 17th falls in your house of travel and broad thinking. If you applied early to college or university, you may hear back on this day, or perhaps a publishing or writing project will come to an end. Jupiter in your house of dreams and longterm plans is nicely angled, so you should hear good news. A few days later, Mars in your sign will signal Jupiter in the 11th, giving another punch of luck to the situation. Hopefully you will have exciting news to share with your family by the time Thanksgiving rolls around. One day to watch out for is the 25th, when the Sun moves into your 4th house of home and squares Neptune in your 7th house of partnerships. You may squabble with your partner over a home or family issue, or you may squabble with a family member over your partner! Because the Sun and Neptune are both in mutable signs, and because you’re also a mutable sign, you’re likely to feel this influence most (along with Pisces, Sagittarius, and Gemini). Oh Virgo- how do you always find yourself in the middle playing mediator? Make a bargain with your partner- Thanksgiving with your family this year, and with theirs next year. Better yet, why not gather both families together and make a new tradition in a new location? Mexico perhaps? Sounds like a good solution to me!

Libra

You’ve been extra focused on money for the past year, Libra, and this is because of Saturn’s entry into your income house last October. Things may have felt tight, and unfortunately, Saturn is here to stay for about another year and a half. The good news is that there’s an eclipse in this sector on the 3rd, and it’s beautifully angled to Mars in your 12th house and Pluto in your house of home. Perhaps you’re looking to sell your house for a profit, or begin a job as a real estate agent. Your prospects are looking great for both of things things. Alternatively, any work you do from home should bring in extra funds this month. You may not feel the full effects until next May, when there’s a full moon in this same sector. A great day to initiate any money making schemes is the 12th, when the Sun in the 2nd will trine Jupiter in your house of career. You may get a bonus or raise, or even a new job with a new title! Mercury will have gone direct by then (on the 11th) so you’ll be in the clear to start any major initiatives. Venus, your ruler, spends the month in your 4th house of home. Any hardships you’ve been experiencing on this front should be smoothed over. One day to keep an eye on is the 15th, when Venus will conjunct Pluto in the home. Generally, Venus is a healing planet, but sometimes a conjunction can end up having harsh effects. Additionally, Uranus in your house of partnerships will be squaring the pair, so you may have some trouble on the home front or with a spouse. The full moon on the 17th falls in your house of other people’s money. There may be a chunk of money going in or out, but because Jupiter in your career house is nicely angled, I think this will end up in your favor. Two days later, Mars in your 12th house  will gently ping Jupiter in your 10th, and you may hear more good news about your career. This is especially true for anyone in a medical or creative field.  On the 23rd, your ruler Venus will sextile Saturn, and your home and income houses will see a boost. Sounds like the perfect time to host Thanksgiving at your place!

Taurus

You’re a loyal partner, Bull, and this month has you totally focused on your significant other as the Sun joins Mercury and Saturn in this sector. You may have found partnership matters to be a little serious since last October when Saturn entered this house- you might have gotten engaged or married, or alternatively broken things off with a longtime partner. If none of this has happened yet, the eclipse occurring on the 3rd might usher things along. The eclipse will be nicely angled to Mars in your house of true love and creativity, and also Pluto in your house of travel and broad horizons. You might get engaged or married, or even find yourself (or your partner) pregnant or about to have a baby. Alternatively, if things just aren’t working out between you and your boo, you may takes steps to end the relationship. If you’re unattached, you might enter into a new partnership agreement for work, perhaps with a foreign company, or you might get a publisher or agent for your novel or screenplay. Whatever it is, save any key initiatives for the 12th, when Mercury will no longer be retrograde, and the Sun will trine Jupiter in your 3rd house of contracts. Jupiter goes retrograde in your communication sector on the 7th, and you may find you have to review paperwork or communication projects with a fine toothed comb. This influence will last several months, and any work you revise will be for the best. Your ruler, Venus, spends the month in your house of travel, and you may find love while on vacation- whether it’s with a new beau or an existing paramour. On the 15th, Venus will conjunct Pluto in this sector, and you may hear unexpected news- probably something good. Venus also rules your 6th house, so you could discover something surprising about a work or health issue. Unfortunately, Uranus will be squaring the pair from your 12th house, so things might be challenging. Moving on, something close to you will culminate this month on the 17th, when there’s a full moon in your sign. Jupiter in your 3rd house will be nicely angled, so you should hear good news. 2 days later, on the 19th, Mars in your creativity and true love house will ping Jupiter in the 3rd, adding to the dose of good luck. On the 23rd, your ruler Venus will sextile Saturn in your 7th, and any trips you take with a partner should be extra romantic. Why not skip the family thing this year and go on a romantic trip for two? Or at least book a hotel room instead of staying in your kid brother’s old bedroom at your mom’s. Sounds like a great way to spend Thanksgiving to me!

Gemini

No rest for the weary, huh Gemini? With the Sun, Mercury and Saturn all crowding  your 6th house of work and health, you appear to be working overtime! The new moon eclipse on the 3rd suggests a new beginning on the work front. You may be starting a new job, getting a new office space, landing a big new client, or perhaps hiring a new assistant or underling. Alternatively, you could start a new health routine or give up a bad habit. The eclipse will be nicely angled to Mars in your 4th house of home and Pluto in your 8th house of other people’s money, suggesting that these key areas of your life- work, home, health and money- will be in sync. I’ll take that combo any day! Try to hold off on any new initiatives until November 11th when Mercury goes direct. This is welcome news to you, since Mercury is your ruler, and its retrograde may have made you feel a little upside down and scattered over the last few weeks. Even better, on the 12th, the Sun in your 6th house will trine Jupiter in your 2nd house of income. You may get a big raise or find your business is bringing in the big bucks! Holla! One day to watch out for is November 6- the Sun will conjunct Saturn and you may feel frustrated at the office or with a co-worker on this day. On the 8th, Venus in your house of other people’s money will trine Neptune in your house of career, and you may hear news about a bonus or commission. This month is really look up for you! Just watch out for the 15th, when Venus will conjunct Pluto in this same 8th house. News should be good, since Venus is a healing planet, however Uranus is squaring the pair from your 11th house of friendship and longterm projects. You may have beef with a friend, or perhaps you have to re-jigger the budget on a creative project. The full moon in Taurus on the 17th falls in your 12th house of endings and closure and is nicely angled to Jupiter in your 2nd house of income. This could mean a number of things- a project could come to an end, and you could see a payout. Alternatively, you could cut a toxic person out of your life, and find your self-esteem returning in full force as a result. A secret you or someone close has been hiding might come out in the open, or perhaps you’re just finishing up some behind the scenes work in preparation for a big reveal next month. 2 days later, Mars in your 4th house will sextile Jupiter in your 2nd, and you may either come into an inheritance or find that a family member receives a windfall. On the 21st, your ruler Mercury pings Pluto in your house of commission and bonuses- another good day for funding or business revamps. Watch out for the 25th, when the Sun moves into your 7th house of partnerships and squares Neptune in your 10th house of career. Because you’re a mutable sign, and the Sun and Neptune are also currently in mutable signs, you’re more likely to feel this influence than the other signs (along with your cousins Sagittarius, Pisces, and Virgo). You may hit a snag with a business partner, or perhaps argue with a significant other over marriage. Eesh. I say pour everyone an extra glass of wine and kiss and make up so you can enjoy Thanksgiving without a hitch!

Cancer:

This is already your year, Cancer, and this month sees the Sun, Mercury, and Saturn all angled beautifully in fellow water sign Scorpio in your 5th house of fun, creativity, children, and true love. If you’re single, this is the best time to circulate, as you’re most likely to meet a fun romantic partner during this time! The new moon solar eclipse on the 3rd in Scorpio may introduce a new love interest into your life. The eclipse is sextile Mars in your 3rd house of local travel, and Pluto in your 7th house of partnerships, meaning you may meet your next girlfriend or boyfriend at the supermarket! If you’re already attached, you may plan a romantic trip with lover, or you may even discover you’re expecting a baby! Wowza! Eclipses can take 6 months to culminate, so keep your eyes open- you may have big news next spring! If you’re not feeling the love, you may start a new creative project- possibly with another person- and it would be steeped in good luck as well. You are ruled by the moon, so you feel the power of eclipses even more than most! Mercury goes direct on the 11th, and the Sun trines Jupiter in your sign on the 12th, so these would be good days to initiate anything. Venus spends the month in your partnership sign, indicating that things are going well in your relationships. On the 15th, Venus will conjunct Pluto and you may have big news- perhaps you get engaged or married on this date! Uranus will be squaring the pair from your 10th house of career, so hopefully work obligations don’t spoil your fun. The full moon in Taurus on the 17th falls in your 11th house of friendships and hopes and dreams, and Jupiter in your 1st house is angled beautifully. Something very important to you seems to be coming to a head. 2 days later, Mars in your 3rd house of communications and contracts will sextile Jupiter in your sign- this is a a great day to sign on the dotted line. Perhaps you’ll have some big news to share with the fam over Thanksgiving!

Aquarius

You’re probably getting pretty sick of hearing me talk about your career, but I can’t help it! It’s what the stars are saying. With the Sun, Mercury, and Saturn all in your 10th house of career, and a solar new moon eclipse activating this same sector on the 3rd, you’re still focused on the office. Sextile to the eclipse are Mars in your 8th house of other people’s money and Pluto in your 12th house of endings. You might close a financing offer for a new business idea, or perhaps get a bonus check from a creative endeavor. Alternatively, you might be ending or beginning a marriage. Solar eclipses indicate new beginnings, so watch what comes up around this time. Wait to initiate any ventures until November 12th, at which point Mercury will be direct, and the Sun in your 10th will trine Jupiter in your 6th house of work. You might upgrade your offices, hire a key new person, or garner some press for your accomplishments. Exciting! On the 7th, Jupiter goes retrograde, so you may find yourself reviewing office procedures or client lists, and making sure you have your priorities straight. Alternatively, you may evaluate and re-do a diet, workout regime, or health ritual to see if you can get better results. On the 15th, Venus will conjunct Pluto in your 12th house of closure. It’s hard to know how this will manifest- Venus is a healing planet, but conjunctions can bring harsh news- in the 12th house, a secret may come out into the open. You may finally deal with a mental or health issue on this day, or perhaps a love connection will solidify or terminate. Uranus will be squaring the pair, so it’s likely a communication issue or contract will be involved. The full moon in Taurus on the 17th falls in your 4th house of home. You may sell or close on a new house, or an ongoing family matter may culminate. Jupiter in your 6th will be at a nice angle, suggesting you may do some work from home. 2 days later, Mars- which has been touring your house of other people’s money all month- will sextile Jupiter, and you may get a commission or bonus! What a nice holiday surprise! See if you can take a few days off and celebrate!

Pisces

Just as the pilgrims found America by venturing beyond the unknown, so can you find new horizons by broadening your scope. Ok, cheesy, I know, but this month is urging you to push against your comfort zone. The Sun, Mercury, and Saturn are all rooted in your 9th house of travel and education. You could be knee-deep in a course of a study or a fellowship abroad. Perhaps you’re writing a novel or you’re in production on a tv show. The new moon solar eclipse in this same sector falls on the 3rd, and you may start a new project or course of study that will culminate sometime in the next six months. Mars in your 7th house of partnerships will sextile, suggesting you have a strong partner to guide you, whether that’s in love or business. Pluto in your house of hopes and dreams (and friendship) is also sextile, so you may even have a supportive friend helping you along the way. Try not to initiate anything until November 12th, when Mercury will have gone direct, and the Sun will trine Jupiter in your 5th house of love and creativity. This could be a great day for a screenplay or manuscript to be turned in! Alternatively, if you’re able to jet out of town with your lover, I highly recommend it during this time! It would a fun and romantic time- the best in a while! Jupiter will go retrograde on the 7th, so you may have to review any issues involving creative projects, children, or love relationships to make sure you’re happy with how things are going. On the 15th, Venus will conjunct Pluto in your 11th house of friendships. You may have a problem with a friend, or perhaps a friendship will transition into a romantic relationship- seemingly out of nowhere!  Uranus will be squaring the pair from your 2nd house of income, so be careful when it comes to friends and money. You know what they say- they don’t mix! The full moon on the 17th falls at 24 degrees of Taurus in your 3rd house of communication. You may sign a contract near this date or finish out some kind of project. Jupiter in your 5th house will be in good angle, so it should all go well. 2 days later, Mars – which has been zooming through your partnership sector of Virgo- will signal Jupiter in your 5th, and you may hear good news in love, or about a creative partner. One day to watch out for is the 25th, when the Sun moves into your career house and squares your ruler, Neptune, in your own sign. You may hit a snag on a career matter. Luckily, with all the other good aspects this month, I think this will be a Thanksgiving to remember!

Aries

With Saturn, Mercury, and the Sun, as well as a new moon solar eclipse, all falling in your 8th house of other people’s money, you are all about the benjamins this month. The eclipse is sextile Mars in your 6th house of work, and Pluto in your 10th house of career, indicating that you’re looking at a hefty commission coming in for a work project. Perhaps you’ll get a bonus, or funding to start your dream company.  Alternatively, you could be going through a major work and career transformation as you seek to find your true path. Try to save any initiatives until November 12th, when Mercury will be out of retrograde and the Sun will trine Jupiter in your 4th house of home. Your work and home needs seem to be in balance on this day, and you may even come into funds having to do with your home- perhaps you sell your house or receive an inheritance. Jupiter goes retrograde on the 7th in your house of home, so you may begin to revisit any housing or family situations over the next few months. Perhaps you’ll start househunting, or finally re-do your kitchen. It could even be as simple as re-arranging your furniture! The 15th is a wild card, when Venus hits Pluto in your house of career. You may get an unexpected offer for a job that causes you to think hard about what you want. Uranus in your first house of self will be squaring the pair, so the job may be very personal to you. The full moon in Taurus on the 17th falls in your 2nd house of income- see what I mean about this month being all about the benjamins? Jupiter is nicely angled in your 4th house, suggesting that income could come through a family member or a home sale. 2 days later,  your ruler, Mars- which has been zipping along in your 6th house of work- bringing in lots of assignments- will signal Jupiter in your 4th, again indicating that your work environment and your home or house will be closely aligned.  If you have to work, why not keep it close to home around the holidays? Everyone’s gotta eat- so put down the computer and grab a fork already!

Scorpio

This is your month to shine dear scorpion, as a host of planets glide through your sign. The Sun joins Mercury and Saturn, and there’s a solar eclipse on the 3rd at 11 degrees Scorpio. If you were born around November 3, this will affect you most, although all scorpions will feel some effects. Note that eclipses can take up to 6 months to take effect. The eclipse is sextiling Mars in your 11th house of hopes and dreams, and your ruler, Pluto, in in your 3rd house of communication and contracts. It looks like you’ll be initiating a new venture that is very important to your identity, possibly a work project of sorts, and you may be signing a contract. Saturn in your sign will be conjunct this eclipse, bringing stability to whatever you begin, although it likely won’t be easy. Be careful not to initiate any ventures early in the month while Mercury is still retrograde. If you are signing a contract, wait until November 12th, a lucky day when the Sun in your sign will signal Jupiter in your 9th house of travel and publishing. Watch out for the 6th, when the Sun will conjunct Saturn in your sign and you may hear some jarring news. Additionally, Jupiter turns retrograde on the 7th. You may have to go over any publishing, writing, or broadcasting projects for revisions over the next few months. Venus spends the month in your house of communication and contracts, and you may find you suddenly have the gift of gab. Just watch out for the 15th, when Venus will conjunct your ruler, Pluto. This could be a great influence- Venus is a lucky, healing planet- but conjunctions can bring surprises, and this one is squaring Uranus in your 6th house of work. A full moon falls on the 17th in your partnership sign of Taurus. Jupiter in your 9th house of travel is nicely angled, so you should hear good news around this time. You might get engaged (on a trip perhaps?), or call things off, but trust that all will be for the best. 2 days later, Mars in your 11th house of friendships will sextile Jupiter in your 9th, and you may end up traveling with friends. Why not head to Vegas for a little pre-Thanksgiving jaunt? Next month will see you focusing on work and money, so go get your kicks in now!

Sagittarius

After a turbulent month that saw you focused on socializing and friendships, this month has you resting and recuperating. Hopefully you have a few days off over Thanksgiving to be low key and take some time for yourself. The Sun joins Mercury and Saturn in your 12th house of recuperation and closure. There’s a solar eclipse on the 3rd in this same sector, and it’s nicely angled to Mars in your house of career and Pluto in your house of income. Any Archers in a creative profession, or a medical or institutional field, should see profits coming in from any new venture. In general, ventures now will be behind closed doors. Don’t worry- your time to shine will come. Save any initiatives until after Mercury goes direct on the 11th. The 12th would be best, as the Sun on this day will trine Jupiter in your 8th house of other people’s money and you could come into some unexpected funds. Venus spends the month in your second house of income, which is even better news for you wallet! Watch out for news on the 15th, when Venus will conjunct Pluto in this sector. You could hear good news, but with Uranus squaring both planets, you might have a large expense related to a child or creative project.  The full moon on the 17th falls in Taurus and your 6th house of work and health. Take your vitamins and eat your vegetables- this is the prime time of year to get sick, and we don’t want that! Jupiter will be nicely angled from your 8th house, so I suspect you will hear good news- perhaps a commission from a client will come in, or you’ll land a new job with a stellar bonus structure. Two days later, Mars- which has been revving up your career sector all month- will sextile Jupiter in your 8th- even better news for money and career! Alternatively, you might have a deep conversation with your spouse (if married) and be thankful that you’re closer than ever. What a great way to spend the holiday! Just watch out for the 25th, when the Sun- which will have moved into your sign- squares Neptune in your 4th house of home and you may have an argument with a family member. Silly Sagittarius- always remember, wine + politics + family members don’t mix! We all know you have big opinions, so maybe just pour yourself another glass and let the other person win this battle.

Capricorn

A lot of people tend to spend Thanksgiving with their families, but not all of us are lucky enough to have family nearby. What better alternative that to gather a bunch of friends together and hold a Friendsgiving? This month you’re in the perfect position for just that, as a host of planets, as well as a solar eclipse, are in your friendship sector. The eclipse takes place on the 3rd, and it’s nicely angled to Mars in your 9th house of travel and Pluto in your own sign. You might go on a trip with friends, launch a publishing or broadcasting project, decide to move abroad, or even begin your dream business. Because this eclipse is conjunct to Saturn, your ruler, whatever you launch should be blessed in legitimacy. What great news! If you do initiate something, wait until the 12th. Mercury will have gone direct the day before, and on this day the Sun will trine Jupiter in your 7th house of partnerships, suggesting that perhaps your love with join you on whatever adventure you begin! Venus spends the month in your sign, giving you charm in spades. Been thinking about chopping off your hair or updating your wardrobe? DO IT  (just don’t forget to wait until after November 11th!). Keep your eyes open on the 15th, when Venus will conjunct Pluto in your sign. I think you will hear good news this day- possibly regarding a love interest or career opportunity- but Uranus in your 4th house of home will be squaring both planets, so you may have a few kinks to iron out. There’s a chance some bad news will come up, but I have faith that Venus will protect you. The full moon on the 17th falls in fellow earth sign Taurus and your 5th house of true love. You might just get married or engaged, or perhaps you find out you have a little one on the way! Jupiter in your 7th house of partnerships will be looking on lovingly, so it wouldn’t surprise me one bit. There’s always a chance you’ll break up, and if so, trust that it’s only because there’s someone out there who is better for you! This full moon is too beautifully angled for this not to be the case. On the 19th, Mars- which has been revving up your travel sector all month- sextiles Jupiter in your partnership house. If you do get engaged, I suspect it might happen on a trip- perhaps a Thanksgiving trip? With that eclipse earlier in the month lighting up your house of hopes and dreams, this is a definite possibility. House of hopes and dreams indeed!

October 2013 Monthly Horoscopes- Virgo

Grammia virgo

Money can’t buy you love. So say The Beatles anyway. I advise you keep that in mind this month, as your financial situation might get a little wonky. Luckily, the month starts out on a nice note- your ruler, Mercury, is in your 3rd house of communication (the house mercury rules!), and on Oct 3rd, it will trine Neptune in your 7th house of partnerships. Communication with your sweetie will be divine on this day. Alternatively, any contract you sign to form a new business partnership will be swimming in good luck. Unfortunately, the good vibrations come to a halt on the 5th, with a new moon in your income house. This new moon will be opposing Uranus in your house of other people’s money, and squaring Pluto in your house of true love. Perhaps you and your love aren’t on the same page regarding a financial situation, or your child has a large expense. Alternatively, funding for a creative project may suddenly go awry. This isn’t such a new influence- Uranus has been sending you surprises in your money sector for 2 1/2 years, and Pluto has been drudging up issues regarding love, children, and creativity since 2008. The two planets have been squaring each other since June 2012, forcing you to confront any issues you have with love and money. They will continue to do so until 2015, so you may as well start listening. They know what they’re talking about. Coming back to this month, on the 13th, the Sun in your financial sector will square Jupiter in your 11th house of hopes and wishes, and the funding for a long-term goal could hit a snag. As if that weren’t enough, your ruler Mercury will conjunct hard-knocks planet Saturn twice this month in your communication house- once on the 8th and once on the 30th (and again next month- argh!). If you didn’t sign a contract on the 3rd, for the love of all that is good and holy please don’t do it now. If a contract isn’t on the table, you might instead have issues with a car or sibling. There’s always the chance that instead of bringing bad vibes, Saturn could bring stability to a contract, so if you have to sign something on the 8th you might be able to get away with it. However, because Mercury goes retrograde on the 21st,  you definitely want to avoid the 30th. Since Mercury is your ruler, its retrograde is extra frustrating for you. You may find a project close to your heart needs to be re-configured, career matters seem sticky, or perhaps your car suddenly has a host of problems. You don’t need me to tell you that you shouldn’t even think of buying a new car or taking a new job until Mercury turns direct. Next month, on November 13th, Mercury will resume forward motion at the same time the Sun in the 3rd house will trine Jupiter. Give your final word then. You might be wondering if this month brings ANY good news. Well- it does! On the 10th, Venus in your 4th house of home will trine Uranus in your 8th house of other people’s money. A home loan may come through, or you may be the recipient of an inheritance. Perhaps your home  life will go through an epic transformation that you didn’t anticipate. The lunar eclipse in this same financial sector on the 20th makes an influx of cash a real possibility.  Just make sure you avoid moving or signing contracts when Mercury turns retrograde on the 21st! Mars enters your sign on the 8th giving you tons of energy and drive. This is a fortunate aspect that only comes along every 2 years. Unfortunately, you may find yourself beating your head against the wall once Mercury goes retrograde. The energy of Mars + the delays of retrograde = frustration. Sweat it out at the gym, Virgo, and breathe. It will pass. Specifically, it will pass after November 12th, when Mercury will go direct and you’ll still have Mars in your sign. On the 20th, Mars will oppose Neptune in your 7th house of partnerships. Neptune has been transiting this house for a while, casting a fog over your partnerships. This dreamy planet doesn’t play very well with aggressive Mars in your sign, and you may find yourself in a confrontation with your significant other on this day. Luckily, on the 26th, the Sun in your 3rd house will trine Pisces in your partnership house, bringing communication back to a manageable level. Even better, on the 31st, Mars in your sign will trine Pluto in your 5th house of true love, making for one helluva sexy Halloween. Why not make scary, sexy!

Hope you have some ginger ale handy this month, cause you may get carsick on this wild ride. Let’s get the bad out of the way, shall we? The new moon on the 5th in your 3rd house is one jerk of a hostess. She’s opposing Uranus in your 9th house and squaring Pluto in your 6th. Travel is not ideal this month, nor are writing or speaking endeavors. With the 6th house in play, a health issue could come into the picture. Alternatively, you may be fighting with co-workers. Contracts could go awry, siblings could cause problems, or you may suffer transportation breakdowns. Your work and travel houses have been fighting since October 2012. You may have been struggling with whether your values match your job description, and communication breakdowns with co-workers have probably been likely. You have a few more years to sort out your feelings on this, cause these planets will continue to fight until 2015. Complicating matters this month is the fact that Mercury goes retrograde on the 21st in your house of home. Issues surrounding the house and home will go fuzzy and stall. Promise me you won’t commit to a new lease during this time! As if retrograde weren’t enough, Mercury conjuncts Saturn in your house of home twice this month (the 8th and the 30th). Eek. Saturn is a serious planet that can cause hardships and limitations. Mercury is a communication planet, so you can see these aren’t ideal conditions to commit to a housing situation. Mercury rules your houses of income and long-term goals, and retrograde will cause you to review and change matters of these nature, so I’d wait until next month to see where things stand. There’s always a chance Saturn will actually be beneficial- it could lend stability to your venture- but with that wonky new moon and Mercury retrograde, I personally wouldn’t take any chances. You can look at apartments, but don’t put anything in writing until November 12th. In fact, on November 13th, the sun in your housing sector will trine good-luck Jupiter, so that will be a great time to move forward. This month however, on Oct 13,  your ruler (the sun) in your communication house will square Jupiter in your 12th, so you should pretty much avoid contracts of any kind all month. Some good news for your love life- Venus moves into Sagittarius and your 5th house of pleasure and love on the 8th, sure to make for a romantic time. On the 17th, Venus trines Uranus in your 9th house of travel. You might find sudden sparks with a foreigner or while at university. Alternatively, you might have a flash of inspiration for a publishing or broadcasting project. The eclipse in Aries at 25 degrees on the 18th will bring this same house into focus, and a matter regarding publishing, education, or travel will peak. Just watch out for the 20th, when Mars in your 2nd house of income will oppose neptune in your house of other people’s money. Mars is the aggressor planet and neptune likes to smoke ’em peace pipe, so these two go together like Zuckerberg and the Winklevii twins. Go over any financial dealings with a fine tooth comb, as Neptune likes to conceal details. Halloween brings good news on the money front, as Mars in your income house will trine pluto in your work house- an excellent aspect for raising your salary at your current job! Sounds like a happy halloween to me!

Crab

Last month seemed to see you focusing on travel and communication. This month, October 3rd puts the finishing touches on whatever came up around Sept 20, as Mercury in your 5th house of true love trines Neptune in your 9th house of travel. These are great aspects for a creative writing or broadcasting project, but you must tread carefully, as other planets in the solar system happen to be wreaking havoc! There’s a new moon in your 4th house of home on Oct 5th, and unfortunately it’s opposed to Uranus in your 10th house of career, and also squaring Pluto in your 7th house of partnerships. Because you’re a cardinal sign, and all of the planets I just mentioned are also in cardinal signs (Aries, Capricorn, Libra), you’re gonna be feeling the heat on this one. Especially if you were born around July 5th, plus or minus a few days. There seems to be a war going on between your personal and professional needs. Perhaps you found your dream home, but it’s located an hour away from your workplace. Or perhaps your spouse was offered a great position in another state, but you happen to like the job and home you already have! Uranus has been making its way through your career house since 2011, causing all kinds of sudden changes and revelations, and Pluto has been doing the same thing in your partnership house since 2008. Since June 2012, these two planets have been tangled up in bed together, pitting the worlds of your career and partnerships together until you come up with a solution. You may be having trouble with an employer or business partner, or your significant other might be unhappy with the hours you’re putting in at the office. Alternatively, you could be trying to sort out your feelings on marriage, and whether you should take the plunge or go your separate ways. It’s easy to brush problems under the rug for a while, but your issues won’t go away until you deal with them. This influence will last until 2015 so you may as well get cracking. Later-born Cancers probably have yet to feel this influence as the planets haven’t quite made their way through those degrees yet, but those of you born in early July (or the mid-degrees if you know your rising sign) are in the thick of it. Luckily, you have Jupiter in your house protecting you, and this is an influence that will last all the way until July 2014. One particular day to watch out for is October 13th- on this day, the sun in your home house will square Jupiter in your sign, and you may get housing news that throws you for a loop. Mercury is also dead set on ruining everyone’s month. It will conjunct Saturn twice in your house of true love- on the 8th and 30th- and will be retrograde from Oct 21st- Nov 11th. Mercury rules your 3rd and 12th houses, so you may have to go back and review any issues having to do with writing or communication, transportation, mental health or illness. Saturn has been making its way through your 5th house since October 2012, which isn’t a very fun influence! The 5th rules your house of fun, creativity, and playfullness, so things may feel a bit somber for a while (until 2015). The universe is asking you to get serious and get your affairs in order- it may even be encouraging you to settle down and start a family! So trust that things will work out for the best. There is some good news this month. Venus moves into your house of work and health, and you may beef up your health routine or decorate your office. Perhaps you will even find love on the job! On the 17th, Venus in this house will trine Uranus in your career house and you may get a raise or promotion! On the very next day, the 18th, a lunar eclipse will fall in this same house- your career house- indicating that something regarding your career will come to a head. One day to watch out for is the 10th, when Venus in your 6th house of work and health will square Neptune in your house of travel and writing. Illness may interfere with a trip, or you may hit a snag in a work project. Mars moves into your 3rd house on the 8th, and you could find yourself with about a billion errands to run and emails to answer. On the 20th, Mars will oppose Neptune in your 9th house of writing and travel. This is an odd influence, as Mars is turbo-booster planet, and Neptune is soft and compassionate. You may find yourself torn between fantasy and reality on this day- you want to dream and create, but the real world needs you to handle your business! On the 31st, Mars will trine Pluto in your 7th house- this is a good day to sign a contract for a partnership. On the 26th, the Sun in your 5th house will trine Jupiter in your 1st house, and love matters may be divine! This would also be a great day to ~ahem~ try to make some babies if you’re into that. Seems like a good way to spend a cuddly fall night to me!

Did you score a career triumph at the end of last month? If you did, expect the finishing touches to be put on on Oct 3, when Mercury in your work house will trine Neptune in your career house. You may tie up any outstanding paperwork at this time. Good thing too cause the new moon falls shortly after, on October 5th, in your house of true love, and my is it a doozy! It’s opposing Uranus in your house of hopes and dreams and squaring Pluto in your 8th house of other people’s money. You may fight with a lover over money, or funding on a creative project could go sour. Alternatively, you may be struggling with whether or not you want that best guy (or girl) friend of yours to be something more…can your relationship go from platonic to romantic? One particular day to keep an eye on is October 13th, when the Sun in your house of love and creativity will square Jupiter in your house of income. Again, money is in the picture- you may have to spend a bunch on a child or creative endeavor, or perhaps your love isn’t bringing home his share of the bacon. This is not a new influence, as Uranus and Pluto have been in a square since June 2012. You may have been trying to get funding for a long term dream, or perhaps a friendship is going through a transformation. Whatever is going on, expect it to continue to morph and change over the years until 2015. You may have some resolution on the 18th, when a lunar eclipse in Aries falls in this same house of hopes and dreams/friendship. A project or commitment close to your heart should culminate at this time, especially if you have a planet or point at 26 degrees of Aries. Alternatively, a friend may make a big announcement. Moving on, your ruler, Mercury, is set to cause all kinds of problems this month. Mercury will conjunct Saturn on the 8th and 30th in your house of work and health. Saturn has been moving through this sector since October 2012. It can often be a relief when Saturn changes sign. It takes 2 1/2 years to move through each house, and by the end of the transit most people are ready for it to move on already! You previously had Saturn in your 5th house, which can be a real bummer. The 5th house rules love, creativity, and most importantly FUN, so you may have felt a little somber at times. Now, Saturn is in your 6th house, which isn’t much of a picnic either! I certainly hope Saturn isn’t bringing to light any medical issues, although that can certainly happen (I discovered a long-term medical issue when Saturn transited my solar 6th house). Most likely you are feeling an increased pressure at work. When I had Saturn transiting my natal 6th house, I found myself working full time and going to grad school full-time. I worked all day and night, including weekends, and for about 9 months it seemed I barely had time to brush my teeth! Mercury conjunct Saturn could manifest in a few different ways, as Mercury is both your ruler and also rules your 4th house of home. You or a family member may fall ill, or a work project could go off the rails. To make matters worse, Mercury will go retrograde in your work house on the 21st, and won’t go direct until November 12th. Mercury retrogrades always affect you the most since it’s your ruler. You may have to re-do work that you thought was finished, or you may encounter staffing or office changes on the job. Alternatively, you may wish to examine your health routines to make sure you’ll doing all you can to stay healthy and fit. If joining a gym is on the agenda, please wait until after Mercury goes direct to make a commitment. Same goes for any job hunting. Any commitment you make at this time will need to be revised, as you’ll find the conditions won’t be what you were hoping for. Now for some good news- Venus moves into your house of committed partnerships on the 8th, injecting new love and life into a romantic relationship. Whether you’re newly dating or been married for a decade, this is sure to put a little pep in your step. Even better, on the 17th, Venus will trine Uranus in your 3rd house of travel and communication. You might say “I love you” for the first time, or perhaps receive a hand-written poem from a lover. Although it’s a little close to Mercury retrograde for my liking, this could be a wonderful time to take a short trip to a nearby B&B for some romantic relaxation. One day to watch out for though is October 10- on this day Venus will square Neptune in your house of career. Work demands may trump pleasure on this day, or perhaps your boss scolds you for taking time off to be with your boo. Home matters will get an energetic boost when Mars moves into this area on the 16th. You might decide to move or do renovations, or perhaps you have family visiting from out of town. On the 20th, Mars will oppose Neptune in your career house, once more pitting your personal house against your career house. You might be so focused on home drama that you’re neglecting work obligations. Luckily on the 31st, Mars will trine Pluto in your house of other people’s money, and a home loan or re-financing option may come through. Alternatively, you could receive an inheritance you didn’t see coming, or a family member comes into a windfall. Happy Halloween to you!
