August 2013 Horoscopes- Libra through Pisces

Libra– After a stressful career month, August will bring some much needed relief. Let the good times roll as you catch up with friends and loosen up a little! The new moon on the 6th in your house of friendship is nicely angled to your house of partnerships- a dream near and dear to your heart may finally come true! Perhaps you’ll get engaged or start a new business with a friend. Whatever comes up may be unexpected. Things get a little rocky mid-month, when you find it hard to balance the needs of your home and career. Breathe, Libra, it will all be ok. Venus (your ruler!) is right at home in your sign all month, giving you charm in spades. You’ll be able to talk your way into and out of everything, especially on the 26th when Venus sends a friendly ping to your house of partnerships. The sun in the 12th house this day also sends a lovely vibration to your work and health house, suggesting creative projects or a new health routine will go smoothly. A full moon on the 20th illuminates a love matter. You may profess your love to your one-and-only, or decide to go your separate ways. Alternatively, a creative project could come to an end. Capricorn– You’ve sure had your share of ups and downs, haven’t you my little goat friend? August 2013 Horoscopes- Aries through Virgo

Aries: After surviving some drama having to do with a family or housing situation, you’ll be relieved to hear that this month is all about Love Love Love! The first week of August brings a wonderful time for romance as the Sun in your house of true love pings Uranus in your own sign! Beautiful angled is a new moon in Leo on the 6th, which will inject passion into your love life, whether you’re beginning a romance or rekindling it with a partner. Things are sure to get even hotter towards the end of the month when Mars (your ruler!) moves into this same area, and you might even make it official on the 26th, when Venus in your house of partnerships waves a sexy hello to your first house. Be careful mid-month, as Jupiter in your house of home will oppose Pluto in your career house and t-square Uranus in Aries. Working too much at the expense of your family? It’s time to finally figure out a balance, ram. On the full moon on the 20th, a friend may reveal some big news or a dream close to your heart may finally come true.

Taurus: Home is where the heart is. Renovating? The new moon on the 6th gives you good prospects to start a new home project. Unfortunately, you might not be communicating as well as you’d like. Cancer: Show me the money! So far, this summer has been all about you little crab, but you may have been wondering where the money’s at. The new moon on the 6th will bring a wonderful opportunity to boost your income, and it will be beautifully angled to Uranus in your house of career. Perhaps an unexpected promotion is in store, and with it, a raise. With good luck Jupiter in your sign, anything is possible! Even better, the full moon on the 20th will bring another financial matter to a close. You might secure funding for a project, be approved for a home loan, or get a bonus or tax break. Welcome news after the end of July, which may have found you ramming your head against the wall in frustration at your employer. Just watch out for the end of the month, as Mars may drive up expenses. Also, mid-month, a t-square may cause some drama with your employer or spouse. You may suffer from a public embarrassment, but it is only temporary. Don’t worry too much, as challenges help us grow. Virgo– This month may find you in seclusion as you prepare for a grand entrance in September. Finish up projects behind closed doors, meditate, and clear out the dead wood, virgin. The new moon on the 6th may illuminate a dark secret you or someone close has been hiding. Alternatively, you may get funding for a creative project, or begin a toxic romance. Money has been a source of stress for you lately, as your house of other people’s money is squaring your house friendship. Mid-month, Pluto will join the chaos, involving your business partner or spouse/s.o. Mixing friendship and money is never easy, and someone you may have thought would be the perfect person to start a new business with will show their true colors. If it’s business related, it will all be sorted out on the 20th, when a full moon brings a work matter to a close. Watch your health on this day as well, as full moons in the 6th can bring on illness. Luckily, on the 26th, Venus in your house of income will give a loving beam to Uranus in your house of other’s people’s money, suggesting you’ll end up on top. When the Sun enters your sign at the end of the month, you’ll emerge from your hole, ready to launch new ventures and shine brightly again!

Happy birthday Leo, you dashing devil you.

As the month starts off, you might still be dealing with some drama you experienced at the end of July, as Mars in your 12th house is still squaring Uranus in your 9th. Got a lot of energy you don’t know what to do with? The universe appears to be blocking your efforts. Perhaps a vacation went wrong, or your publisher gave you (another!) round of laborious notes. Maybe your university just told you they messed up- you actually need to take two more credits next semester if you want to graduate on time…oops! Don’t worry dear Lion, things will ease up in a few days, and by the end of the month you’ll be ROARING again in no time!

The first bit of good news comes on Aug 3. Venus in your house of income and self-worth will sextile Mars in your house of closure, giving you some much needed relief from Uranus’s glare.

Later, on the 5th, the Sun (your ruler!) in your first house will trine Uranus in Aries, your house of travel and publishing. What a beautiful aspect! Whatever comes up will be unexpected and delight you. Perhaps you finally get around to planning that vacation, or that publisher finally agrees to publish your book! Even better, the following day, Aug 6th,  brings a new moon in your first house of self-image. Whatever you launch around this time will benefit you in an unexpected way. Your year will be full of new surprises and ventures, especially if your birthday falls within 5 days of Aug 6th, or if your ascendant is between 9 and 19 degrees of Leo. If you have any planets in your natal chart between 9 and 19 degrees of Leo, Sagittarius, or Aries, that part of your chart will be lit up as well.

Alas, you may encounter some difficulty on Aug 8th, when Jupiter in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn. Watch your health on this day, as these planets pose stressful aspects between your 12th house of hospitals and 6th house of health. I would not schedule an operation for this day. Conversely, someone at work who has been subtly sabotaging you for a while might finally pull out the big guns on this day and declare full on war! The good news is you have the good luck planet Jupiter protecting your 12th house until July of next year. While things might be unpleasant for a little while, the universe is just clearing things out for you to make an even bigger, bolder statement next year when Jupiter enters Leo, and the world will finally know your power!

Luckily, you can still make the most of your time until then. On Aug 15th, Mercury in Leo trines Uranus in Aries. Mercury is the natural ruler of your house of income and your house of friendships. An unexpected bonus may come your way, or the money you needed to fund your screenplay will come through. Perhaps a friend you haven’t seen in a while will invite you on a fun getaway and for once you’ll have the spare cash to get away!

On Aug 20th, a full moon in your 7th house of relationships brings a partnership matter to a close. Been casually dating? Now’s the time to make it official. Been rocky for a while? Maybe it’s time to cut those toxic ties. Alternatively, a decision may be reached in any legal matter, or a business partnership could solidify or fall apart. Leos between the degrees of 23 and 30 will feel this the most. Early degree Virgos will be hit as well.

On Aug 21, Jupiter in Cancer squares Aries in Uranus. Admittedly, this will be a tough time. Avoid traveling on this date, as I feel something could go wrong. If you are in the publishing or academic world, you may encounter delays from higher ups.

Luckily, the month ends on a strong note. Mars enters your sign on the 29th for the first time in two years, giving you energy to spare! Why don’t you finally start that creative project you’ve been thinking about? Mars gives you the drive, while Jupiter in the 12th will expand your creativity. Are you finally ready to kick that addiction or bad habit? Now’s the time as you’ll have motivation in droves.

On Aug 26th, Venus in your third house sextiles Uranus in Aries while the Sun and Mercury in Virgo sextile Neptune in your 8th. If you’re a writer, these are beautiful aspects!
