Libra Horoscope March 2014

Expanded Horoscope: If you’ve been working towards big things in your career, this just may be the month it begins to pay off. The new moon on February 28th occurs in your work sector and is perfectly aligned with Jupiter, planet of good fortune, in your career sector. This is a beautiful match-up if you are beginning a new job or work assignment. You may even get a promotion at your current job. It seems that whatever you’re working on will bring you more prestige- you may even get a little press!

Jupiter has been residing in your career sector since last July- a great placement if you’re trying to take your profession to the next level- but it went retrograde in November. If it seemed like things were going so well and then abruptly stalled, that’s why. Luckily, on March 6th, Jupiter will resume direct motion and return to full strength. Career matters should speed ahead once again, and fortunately you have this luck all the way through July!

Mercury also goes direct this month, so if you’ve been feeling confused about a romance, child, or travel matter, things should start to become more clear. Even better news for romance is Venus’s entry into your 5th house of love, children, and creativity on March 6th. If you’re single, you may meet someone at this time, so get out there and mingle! Coupled up Libra’s may feel their relationship turn lighter and more fun, so be sure to take plenty of date nights this month! Venus is your ruler, so you feel its transits more strongly than other signs (with the exception of Taurus, whom Venus also rules). If you are trying to conceive, this may be a fortunate time for you, and if you already have children, this may be a positive period for them.

The full moon this month takes place in your 12th house of endings on March 16th. You may end a relationship, project, or job at this time. In general, you seem to be letting something go. The moon’s relationship to Saturn in your income house suggests that money is involved. Perhaps you sell something that gets you some cash, or a creative project nets you some funds. If none of this is true for you, you may just feel the need to retreat a little bit and take it easy, or work on a behind-the-scenes project. Next month there will be an eclipse in your sign (on April 15th), and something important to you will culminate. A four way square will follow one week later between planets in your home, career, self, and partnership houses, so April will be a big month for you! Take it easy now while you can.

Switching gears a bit, Mars has been zipping through your sign since December 2013, giving you motivation in spades. This was great news if you’re initiating a project or personal endeavor of some kind, as you have more energy than ever. Mars rules your partnership house, so a business or personal relationship may have been prominent in your life. Mars retrogrades on March 1st, and you may need to re-do some work, or re-vise the terms of your partnership. Retrogrades can feel a little bit like getting stuck in the mud, but if you power through it, you will be better for it. Mars will return to direct motion on May 19th, 2014.

Saturn is another planet that turns retrograde this month, and it will do so on March 2nd. Saturn is currently in your income and self-worth house, so these are the areas that would come up for review. You may re-negotiate your salary with your employer or think of new ways to bring in money. There is a possibility that you will take a financial hit- perhaps you encounter an unexpectedly large expense or experience a loss of some kind of income stream. Saturn will resume forward motion on July 20th, and will eventually move out of this sector entirely by December 24th, although it will return briefly in 2015. It hasn’t been easy being a Libra the last few years, but there is light at the end of the tunnel!

February’s is looking like it’s all about love for you, so how appropriate that Valentine’s Day is coming up!  The month starts off strong with a new moon in your fifth house of true love sextile Uranus in your 7th house of partnerships. Wowy! You may begin a new chapter with your love- perhaps making a stronger commitment to each other. You may decide to become exclusive, or if that’s already the case you may get engaged! Already married? This aspect might bring a happy pregnancy announcement! In fact, these are the best pregnancy aspects you’ll have all year- so make like bunnies and get at it! Adding to the good news, on February 1st, Venus (your ruler!) goes direct in your house of home. It seems that since Christmas, you’ve been reviewing housing or family matters- perhaps your renovations are taking longer than usual to complete, or you’re having a hard time moving or selling your place. Things should be much easier after the 1st.

Take advantage of the good energy in the first week of February, because Mercury will go retrograde from Feb 6th to March 1st, a bad time to make any major decisions. This time, the  retrograde will take place in your love and child sector. You may review a matter that has to do with a child, or perhaps an old love calls out of the blue wanting to reconnect! This would also be a good time to dig out any old creative projects you’ve abandoned and go back to work on that. Maybe you’ll be re-inspired!

Sagittarius

2013 has been a bit of a paradox for you, dear Libra. While you may have landed the job or title of your dreams, your salary just doesn’t seem to be up to par. This, unfortunately, is due to Saturn’s lengthy transit of your 2nd house of income. You may be finding that you’re bringing less money in, or perhaps you’ve had some big expenses that are eating into your bottom line. Unfortunately, this is a trend that will last into 2014, and even 2015.

The good news is that Jupiter will continue to transit your career house until July 2014. If you didn’t land that great job yet, you just might by the time Jupiter’s done.

Your sign has had a rough go of it over the last few years (along with your cousins Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn). Some major battles have been brewing between planets in these fellow cardinal signs. Unfortunately, January 1st, 2014 is no different, and the first of the year brings a messy new moon in  your 4th house of home. The moon will conjunct Pluto and Mercury, and square Mars in your first house, Uranus in your partnership house, and Jupiter in your 10th house of career. The Sun joins Mercury and Saturn in your house of family and home this month, and seeing as it’s the start of the holiday season, the timing couldn’t be better! The big news this month is the solar eclipse in this same sector on the 3rd. Unlike last month’s crappy new moon, this eclipse is nicely angled to other planets. Mars is sextiling from your 2nd house of income, and Pluto is sextiling from your 6th house of work assignments. If you are planning to buy or sell a house, or if you work in real estate, these are really excellent aspects. Additionally, any work performed from or on the home gets a positive boost. Saturn will be conjunct the eclipse, giving stability to whatever venture you begin. It’s not ideal that the eclipse happens during Mercury retrograde, but luckily Mercury goes direct on the 11th- welcome news for any Lions experiencing delays on the home front. On the 12th, Mercury will trine Neptune in your house of other people’s money, and funds might come in the shape of an inheritance or home loan. Even better, the following day, November 13th, the Sun in the 4th will trine Jupiter in your 12th house of closure- an excellent aspect for closing a deal on a new housing situation. I’d save any key initiatives for this day. One thing you’ll have to contend with is Jupiter’s retrograde on the 7th. Over the next few months, you may have to re-do any creative or health work you’ve been tending to, just to make sure you’re getting it all right. This month sees you scurrying around like a busy little bee, as the Sun joins your ruler, Mercury, and Saturn in your 3rd house of communication. Emails, correspondence, and errands seem to pop up like crazy- and here you were thinking Thanksgiving would be a vacation! The eclipse in Scorpio on the 3rd takes place in this same sector, and is nicely angled to Mars in your sign, and Pluto in your 5th house of true love and creativity. This is a great time to sign a contract, and anything you hear about a sibling should be blessed with good fortune. Alternatively, any work you do from home should bring in extra funds this month. You may not feel the full effects until next May, when there’s a full moon in this same sector. A great day to initiate any money making schemes is the 12th, when the Sun in the 2nd will trine Jupiter in your house of career. You may get a bonus or raise, or even a new job with a new title! Happy Halloween! And birthday of course. After all that rest and recuperation last month, you’re finally ready to come out of your hole. Is the world ready for you? The month starts out on a great note, when Mercury in your 2nd house of income trines Neptune in your 6th house of work. Did you get that new job last month? Your new salary may finally hit the bank. Welcome news considering Saturn’s been in your income sector since last October and will stay there until 2015. Unfortunately, this month, Mercury conjuncts Saturn twice-  on the 8th and the 30th. Money matters may turn serious and you might have to write a few big checks, especially if travel, education, or an illness is involved, as Mercury rules these areas for you. Adding to the problem, Mercury goes retrograde on the 21st, and won’t resume direct motion until November 12th. You may have to go back and review your finances, or money you were counting on might be delayed. October 5th brings a new moon in your first house of self, and with it comes some challenging aspects.
