Extended Horoscope: Are you working on a long-term communication or writing project? If so, this month is sending awesome vibes your way. The new moon on February 28th occurs in your 11th house of hopes and dreams, and it’s arm in arm with Jupiter in your 3rd house of communication. A contract or commitment may come up, and if so, you have great aspects- especially if it’s a creative, artistic, or musical project. Writing or technology projects also fare well at this time.

Alternatively, this energy could indicate a short trip with friends. If so, you’d have a great time, and it would be extremely memorable. If you’ve had any difficultly in a friendship, this new moon promises to smooth things over. Jupiter goes direct on March 6th in your communication sector, so you should find the right words to bury the hatchet.

Adding to the good news, Mercury goes direct on March 1st in your 10th house of career. If there were changes or confusion on the job front, they should sort themselves out now. Even better, Venus, your ruler, graces this sector beginning on March 6th, indicating renewed luck in your career.

Mercury also rules your 5th house of romance and children, so these matters will also become more in clear in the beginning of the month. In fact, there’s a full moon in this same house on March 16th, sextile to Saturn in your partnership house, indicating big news on the romance front. You may make a new commitment in love, deciding to become engaged or married, or possibly even decide to have a child or discover a pregnancy. There’s always the chance that this full moon will bring a romance to an end, and if so, trust that it’s for the best.

Saturn goes retrograde in your partnership sector on March 2nd, indicating that you may be reviewing a love or business relationship. A dormant relationship problem may rear its ugly head, forcing you to confront it. Saturn opposite your sun is not an easy position, so you may experience some setbacks or pressure in this area. Some of you are getting serious- perhaps even tying the knot, and this could be a daunting prospect for you. Others may find the cracks in their relationship showing, and over the next few months Saturn will continue to hammer those cracks until they break. If they don’t break, then the relationship is solid and Saturn will have done its job. Cracks may also be showing at your workplace, or perhaps even in your health. Mars has been zooming through this area since December, and it’s possible you’ve been working round the clock. On March 1st, Mars goes retrograde, and some of these projects or jobs may become muddled or experience delays. Alternatively, a health matter may come up for review, and you may need to spend some time working it out. Things may come to a head on or around April 15th, when there’s a lunar eclipse in this sector. A week later (the third week in April),  planets in your work and health, closure, travel, and communication houses clash, indicating some upheaval in these areas.  Use Mars’ retrograde this month to get your ducks in a row, so that you’re prepared next month.

taurus febSince just before Christmas, your ruler, Venus, has been retrograde in your 9th house of travel and higher education. You may had travel plans go awry, or found your spiritual or religious beliefs undergoing some kind of transformation. Alternatively, perhaps you’ve had to review and re-do a writing or publishing venture, such as rewriting a draft of a book. Perhaps you’ve even found yourself deciding to go back to school, so you’ve been researching programs that match well to you and working hard on applications.

Starting on the very first day of the month, Venus will go direct, and matters of these nature will become more clear. Additionally, the beginning of the month sees a new moon in your career sector supported by Uranus in your 12th house of closure. Bulls who work in a creative field, or in medicine or psychology, may begin a new, more prestigious job, or perhaps get a big assignment or press for a project. If you do get a job offer, try to sign your contract in the first five days of the month, as alas, Mercury will retrograde in your career house from Feb 6th to March 1st. If you agree to a job offer or start a new job during the retrograde, you may find the conditions aren’t exactly what you’d hoped.

During the retrograde, you may review your job situation to determine what is and is not working for you. You may have to re-do a project, or perhaps encounter snags that you need to find workarounds for. Feb 11th and Feb 19th are days to watch out for. On the 11th, the Sun in your career house will square Saturn in your partnership house. You may disagree with an employer on this day, or perhaps your significant other will feel you are paying too much attention to your job and not enough to them! Mercury will have the same fight with Saturn on the 19th.

The full moon on the 14th (Valentine’s Day!) may bring a home matter to fruition. Whatever comes up seems like it has to do with your work or health, as Mars will give a friendly wave to the moon from your 6th house of work and health. Perhaps you decide to relocate for a job, or you land a work-from-home opportunity. It appears to be good career news for you, as Mars will also be trining the Sun in your career sector, and this is considered a lucky aspect!

The 22nd should be a fun day, when the Sun will conjunct Neptune in Neptune’s home sign of Pisces and your 11th house of hopes and dreams. You may hear good news about a creative project on this day, or perhaps a friend has happy news, as the 11th house is also considered the house of friendship. Another good day? The 24th, when your ruler, Venus, in your travel house will sextile Saturn in your partnership house. This is a great day for romance, or to partner up on a work project, especially if it involves publishing, travel, broadcasting, higher learning or writing.

A day to watch out for would be the 25th, when Jupiter in your communication house will square Uranus in your 12th house. You may inadvertently reveal a secret on this day, or perhaps fight with someone close to you, maybe even a sibling. Alternatively, you could experience car troubles or have problems getting to where you need to be. This would also be a bad day to sign a contract. Luckily, you should find a solution by the last day of the month, when the Sun moves into position to trine Jupiter in your communication house.

2014 January Horoscope- Taurus

file5931340859157Trains, planes, and automobiles…sound familiar? You seem to have travel on the brain, bull, but it might not be working out quite as you planned. The new moon in this sector is being pummeled by Mars, Uranus, and Jupiter in your work and health, secrets and closure, and communication sectors. The first ten days of the month may have seen you suffer from travel delays, canceled flights, or car breakdowns. Meanwhile, an uptick in work has caused you to burn the midnight oil on more than one occasion, and this could have interfered with any trips you were planning to take. Something surprising may have come up on the job- perhaps a co-worker was let go, or a secret came out at the office that affects your job. Alternatively, a health issue may have popped up out of the blue and demanded your attention. Things should settle down by the 11th, when Venus (your ruler!) conjuncts the Sun in your travel sector and sextiles Saturn in your 7th house of partnerships. Trips taken at this time should prove to be much easier than those taken on the 1st or 2nd, and you and your honey may find a romantic vacation is just what you needed to reignite the passion. Can’t get away? Try taking a yoga or higher education class together. The couple that plays together, stays together, right?

The full moon on the 16th occurs in your 3rd house of contracts and trines Saturn in your partnership sector. The pairing of these two partnership houses seems to indicate that you’ll be joining forces with someone- whether in love or business. This would be a great time to sign on the dotted line, so go for it! After that, planets begin to migrate into your 10th house of career, priming you for big things to come. Mercury will ping Uranus on the 17th, and the Sun will do the same on the 29th, indicating good luck in any creative career endeavors. Your namesake is the mighty bull, and you sure seem to be proving your strength and resilience these days! Saturn’s opposition to your sun has been putting the pressure on all things “partner” since October 2012. Some of you are getting serious with partners- perhaps getting married and settling down. Others are trending quite the opposite, and may be breaking up or seriously reevaluating your relationship. Still some might be encountering opposition from a business partner, or finding their obligations to be a little heavy right now.

April born Taurus’s have already seen the fire and emerged from the ashes newly wizened (phew!), but early- to-mid-May babies are in the thick of it right now. Taurus’s born after May 15th will feel Saturn’s pull the most in 2014, but no one should fret! Saturn only shows us what we need to do to be happy, and his transit will leave us all the better in the long run, despite any pressure we feel now. This influence will continue all the way through 2014, before leaving for the next house to punish! And then it will come back for a liiiittle bit in 2015. But then it will be gone for good!

Let’s break it down by month, shall we?

January sees a funky new moon in your 9th house of travel squaring Mars in your house of work and Uranus in your 12th house of secrets. Expect travel, work, or any projects having to do with broadcasting or publishing to be wonky this month- perhaps a co-worker lets a secret slip out that affects your travel plans, or you discover someone at work trying to sabotage you! Alternatively, you may discover a medical or dental issue or get sick while traveling. Get sleep and take care of yourself! I would postpone any operations this month (if you can- don’t postpone anything time sensitive of course!).

February is looking much better, with a new moon in your career house supported by Uranus. You may get a sudden job opportunity or promotion, and this is especially true if you work in a creative field, or a medical or institutional one. Home matters are looking solid too, with the full moon in the sector supported by Mars. You may get a job working from home, or perhaps you’ll begin work in real estate or home construction.

March is also lovely, with the new moon in your 11th house of hopes and dreams trine Jupiter in your third house of communication. You may sign an important contract or begin your dream business. The moon will also conjunct Neptune and sextile Pluto in your travel house, so any plans revolving around travel or the arts will go well. This month also sees a full moon in your 5th house of true love sextile Saturn in your 7th house of partnerships. You may make it official with your sweetie around this time, or perhaps discover you (or your partner) is pregnant! Alternatively, you may take on a creative partnership- perhaps a writing partner, agent, or manager.

March also sees the north node move into Libra and your house of work. You seem to be on fire at the office- tons of meetings, projects, emails- lots going on! The universe wants you to focus on this part of your life until fall of 2015, so keep it up!

April is gonna be rough for everyone. There’s a messy new moon  in your 12th house, and this is an admittedly unpleasant place for it to be. All month, Pluto, the Sun, the Moon, Mars, Uranus, and Jupiter will be squaring each other, and new information regarding a work or travel project may come up. I don’t think you’ll like it. April also brings an eclipse to your work sector, and you may get a new job, leave a current job, lose an assistant or co-worker, or discover a medical issue.

Don’t fret- there’s yet ANOTHER eclipse this month, this time solar, occurring in your own sign which suggests you’re starting a new path or project of some kind. This eclipse will conjunct Mercury, which rules both your income house and your house of children and creativity. You may decide to have a child, begin a creative project, or launch a new source of income. The eclipse will sextile Neptune in your 11th house of hopes and dreams, indicating it’s something you’ve always wanted, and will bring you much joy.

Skipping ahead a few months, July sees Jupiter move out of your 3rd house of communication and contracts, and into your 4th house of home. You may buy a new home, or upgrade an existing one with renovations or decorations. A family member may have happy news as well. In general, you’ll find that you enjoy spending time at home with your family, and perhaps even finding yourself acting a little like Martha Stewart! You may try cooking, sewing, interior decorating…you may really get in touch with your more “feminine” side between now and July 2015!

August may see a bit of a career hiccup, when the full moon in this sector opposes Mercury in your 4th house. Saturn will square the pair from your partnership house, indicating that home and career matters will be at odds.

Luckily, September is beautiful, and Jupiter will dance with Uranus in your 12th, and home matters may be all that you dreamed of!

October 8th sees a gorgeous lunar eclipse that makes a golden triangle with Mars in your house of other people’s money, Jupiter in your house of home, and Uranus in your house of endings. You may sell your house and get a big payout, or perhaps find the money you need to buy the house of you dreams! Later that month, a solar eclipse occurs in your house of partnerships. It will conjunct your ruler, Venus, and sextile Neptune in your house of hopes and dreams. You seem to be beginning a new chapter with a partner, and whatever it is will be steeped in good luck! Sagittarius

This is your month to shine! The sun in your sign trines Uranus on the 1st, and you may hear delightfully unexpected news about a child or creative project. If you’re not looking to have a kid right now, watch this date and take the necessary precautions! Alternatively, you might meet a new love interest out of the blue! Get out and circulate during the first half of December, and you may find just what you’re looking for. On the 3rd, any Sag’s who work in creative or medical fields may hear good career news. Friday the 13th will be just divine- Jupiter (your ruler!) in your money house will connect with Saturn and they just might bring rewards from whatever it is you’re working on. Alternatively, you may get funds from a source you never expected- an inheritance or bonus of some kind. The full moon on the 17th occurs in your house of partnerships, and you may solidify or break off a commitment at this time. After a month focused on love, play, and romance, the universe is now turning your attention to your work situation. Early in December, the Sun in your work and health sector will trine Uranus in your career house, and you may get an unexpected promotion or job offer. Nice! The new moon that occurs just after this is telling me the exact same thing. You may start a new job or a new project that will bring you press or prestige. Alternatively, you could hire a new assistant, move offices to a fabulous new space, or see a new co-worker you like come to work for your company. On the third, Mercury in your 5th sextiles Mars in your 3rd, and you may sign a contract for a new creative project, or perhaps even pick up a marriage license or adoption papers. Friday the 13th is lovely, as Jupiter in your sign (yay!) will trine Saturn in fellow water sign Scorpio and your 5th house of true love. What a lovely month to be a Gemini! This month is all about love and partnerships for you! Early in the month, the Sun in your house of partners will trine Uranus in your house of hopes and dreams. The new moon that occurs shortly afterward will connect these sectors as well! Both are in fire signs, which blend perfectly with your air sign! You may hear news about a partner or start a new chapter of your relationship (this goes for business partners as well!). You may get a gig working from home, or perhaps a job will need you to relocate temporarily. Gemini loves to be on the move! Taurus

This month sees you focused on money, bull, and you seem to be in luck. Early in the month, the Sun in your house of other people’s money trines Uranus in your house of endings. You may get a bonus from a creative project (or if you work in the medical field), or perhaps a project coming to an end will net you a payout. October 2013 Horoscopes- Taurus

Did a dream close to your heart come true last month? Hopefully it did, and hopefully you had fun, cause this month, it’s time to get down to business. There’s a new moon in your 6th house of work on Oct 5th, indicating some changes in your job are on the horizon. You might get a new work space or assistant, or perhaps change jobs entirely. Unfortunately this new moon is opposed to Uranus in your 12th house of secrets and closure, so you might not like whatever changes are coming. To top it off, Pluto in your 9th house of broad horizons is squaring both the new moon and Uranus. You could be struggling with whether or not your work matches your value system, or you might have problems with a foreign client. If you have to travel for work, these are really not good aspects, and I advise you push your trip to November if you can. Another alternative is that you may be feeling like you’re underperforming at work. Perhaps you put your heart and soul into a project that totally flopped.  Or maybe you’re dealing with some underhanded co-workers or bad working conditions and unsure of how to move forward. One day specifically to watch out for is October 13th, when the Sun in your work sector will square Jupiter in your house of communication. A contract might fall apart, or you may get into a disagreement with a co-worker. Pluto has been tearing through your house of values and beliefs since 2008, and Uranus has been in your house of closure since 2011. Since June of 2012, these two planets have been in a wrestling match, pitting these two houses against each other. Your value system may be undergoing an overhaul, and you might be digging deeply within your psyche to find out exactly who you are. You might want to do yoga or start a meditation practice, because this is an influence that will last until 2015. Another area of your life that seems to be under fire is a close relationship, either in business or love. I would urge you not to take a new job or get married while Mercury is retrograde. Perhaps the conditions at a new workplace aren’t what you thought they’d be, or a new partner shows a side of their personality you didn’t know about and don’t like . I have ignored this advice on several occasions- once taking a new job and another time moving into a new apartment- each time knowing it was Mercury retrograde but thinking that I didn’t want to pass up what seemed like a good opportunity. Neither time worked out well for me! Both the job and living situation turned out to be awful and stressful, and it took me a long time to get out of both. So proceed at your own peril! Sometimes you don’t really have a choice, and you have to go through a bad situation to get to a good one, but just know that any agreements you enter into at this time will need to be re-done later. Venus (your ruler!) moves into your 8th house of other people’s money on the 8th, and you may hear good news about a partner’s income, or about a loan or tax refund. Just watch out for the 10th, when Venus will square Neptune in your house of friendship and money matters could go wrong. The 17th however, should bring great news, as Venus will trine Uranus in your 12th. You could get an inheritance you didn’t see coming, or perhaps money from a creative endeavor will come through. The lunar eclipse on the 18th will fall in your house of endings, and a project or relationship may come to a close at this time. September 2013 Horoscopes- Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo

The new moon on the 5th occurs in your fifth house of true love and creativity. What fun for you! Looking to get pregnant? This is a wonderful aspect. With Jupiter in your 3rd house holding hands lovingly with this new moon, perhaps it will be a sibling who announces a pregnancy. Alternatively, you may have a brilliant idea for a creative project.
