Extended Horoscope: Hope you’re ready to partner up, cause this month the planets want you to do-si-do! The new moon on February 28th takes place in your 7th house of partnerships, and it’s in arm in arm with good luck Jupiter in your 11th house of hopes and dreams. It also reaches out to Pluto in your 5th house of romance and children, giving love matters an edge. You may make a commitment to a partner, perhaps deciding to become exclusive, get engaged, or even get married. Neptune is in close orbit to the new moon, indicating this may feel like a magical time for you!

If you’re not dating, coupled up, or thinking about romance in any way, this new moon may usher in a business partnership , possibly in a fun or creative field. Even better work news, your ruler, Mercury, goes direct on the same day as the new moon, straightening out any career matters that have left you scratching your head.

The full moon on March 16th occurs in your sign, indicating that something important is coming to fruition for you. It is well angled to Saturn in your contract house, good news if you’re thinking of making a partnership official. One thing to watch out for in terms of contracts, however, is the fact that Saturn turns retrograde on March 2nd. Proceed carefully, and make sure you know all the details of whatever it is you’re signing.

Saturn is in your 3rd house of communication, so its retrograde may bring travel delays and transportation malfunctions. Alternatively, you may hear of issues with a sibling, or perhaps find yourself putting your foot in your mouth one too many times. It will turn direct on July 20th.

You may have gotten a bonus, or even a new job with a better salary! If an offer came up that you’re considering, try to act before February 6th, because at that point, Mercury will go retrograde until March 1st. Mercury is your ruler, so you tend to feel its retrograde more than most signs. Mercury will retrograde through your 6th house of work and health, which is the house your sign rules, so this is an important month for you. Are you doing what you really want to be doing? Are you passionate about this work? Do you need a new office? It would be good for you to use this Mercury retrograde to review your existing processes or job duties and make sure they’re all up to speed. Once Mercury goes direct on March 1st, you have the go ahead to make any changes you so please.

One day that will be definitely gloomy at the office will be February 11th. On this day, the Sun in your work sector will square Saturn in your third house of communication , and you may get into an argument with a co-worker. You may find out something surprising about a loved one’s finances, or perhaps find yourself having to spend a large chunk o’ change on your sweetheart. Perhaps they got laid off and you have to support them ’til they get back on their feet. Or maybe some pent up financial frustrations are finally spilling out of your (or their!) mouth. If someone’s acting like a mooch, you gotta stand up for yourself, but if it’s a temporary thing let’s not play tit-for-tat with the checkbook, Virgo. It seems that some of your wildest dreams may have come true in 2013. This is due to Jupiter’s transit of your 11th house of hopes and wishes since summer of 2013. This trend will continue into summer 2014, so if you haven’t experienced any miracles yet, you still have plenty of time.

Enjoy it, because the second half of the year will see you laying low and retreating a bit. We’ll get to that in a minute though.

The beginning of the year is tough for all signs, as the Sun, Mercury, and Pluto are all conjunct in your house of fun and love, and squaring planets in your money houses. You seem to be fighting with a love partner or child over money, or perhaps a creative hobby is eating into your funds. Luckily, the end of the month is friendly, with indications that you may sign an important contract or go on a fun local trip.

February is looking good, with a new moon in your work house supported by Uranus in your money house. You might get a new job with a better salary, or perhaps a bonus will come in from a work assignment. A full moon this month falls in your house of endings, and sextiles Mars in your income house, further indicating a payout from a job or project that may be coming to an end.

March is a lovely month, as a new moon occurs in your house of partnerships that is supported by Jupiter in your hopes and dreams house and Pluto in your fun and love house. April is dodgy for all signs, although it’s likely to have more of an effect in politics and world news than on most people’s personal lives- so try not to stress out too much. The new moon in April occurs in your 8th house of shared resources (money), and will conjunct Uranus- indicating that news may come up out of the blue. It will square Jupiter in your house of hopes and dreams, and Pluto in your love house. Again, money seems to be the root of the problem. The planets, along with Mars and the moon in Libra, will all face off later in the month too- around April 21st– so I’d lay low this month!

Adding to the chaos- April holds two eclipses. The first is lunar, and occurs in your income house. It’s a fairly neutral eclipse, so hard to tell how this will manifest. The second eclipse, this time solar, occurs in your house of travel and broad horizons, and will conjunct your ruler, Mercury, so I suspect this one will have a great effect on you! You may begin a writing or speaking project, or perhaps begin the process of applying to college or grad school. Alternatively, an offer to live abroad or work with foreign clients may come up out of the blue. This eclipse will sextile Neptune in your partnership house, so the offer may come through your partner or spouse, or perhaps a middle man like an agent or employer. Watch the following 6 months to see how this will manifest.

The big news of 2014 is Jupiter’s move next July to your 12th house of secrets and endings. The universe is encouraging you to rest, retreat, and reflect. What’s working in your life, and what isn’t? You may have to do some mental “cleaning out the attic” at this time to make sure you’re living your life according to your true values. Feel free to spend more time at home thinking, writing, pondering…you have cosmic permission! This would be a great year to work on a behind the scenes project- preferably a creative one. Alternatively, you may lose a job, but land a hefty severance package to carry you until you land a new job. September is an exciting time, when you may hear unexpected money news. Thinking of buying a new home? It might all come together by October 8th, when a gorgeous lunar eclipse makes a golden triangle in your houses of money, endings, and home. If you’re selling a home, you may find you get an offer for more than you asked! If you’re looking to buy, you may find you have enough funds to buy the home of your dreams! Alternatively, you may come into a large inheritance you didn’t see coming.

Another eclipse occurs on the October 23rd, this time it’s a solar eclipse, occurring in your house of contracts and communication. It will conjunct Venus (ruler of your income house and travel house) and sextile Neptune in your partnership house. You may enter into an agreement with a partner in love or business, or go on a trip with your love. Perhaps you and your partner will decide to purchase a new car!

On Christmas Eve, Saturn will move out of this same sector of transportation and communication (it will return briefly in 2015, but then be gone for good!). Sagittarius

The Sun joins Mercury and Saturn in your house of family and home this month, and seeing as it’s the start of the holiday season, the timing couldn’t be better! The big news this month is the solar eclipse in this same sector on the 3rd. Unlike last month’s crappy new moon, this eclipse is nicely angled to other planets. Mars is sextiling from your 2nd house of income, and Pluto is sextiling from your 6th house of work assignments. If you are planning to buy or sell a house, or if you work in real estate, these are really excellent aspects. Additionally, any work performed from or on the home gets a positive boost. Saturn will be conjunct the eclipse, giving stability to whatever venture you begin. It’s not ideal that the eclipse happens during Mercury retrograde, but luckily Mercury goes direct on the 11th- welcome news for any Lions experiencing delays on the home front. On the 12th, Mercury will trine Neptune in your house of other people’s money, and funds might come in the shape of an inheritance or home loan. Even better, the following day, November 13th, the Sun in the 4th will trine Jupiter in your 12th house of closure- an excellent aspect for closing a deal on a new housing situation. I’d save any key initiatives for this day. One thing you’ll have to contend with is Jupiter’s retrograde on the 7th. Over the next few months, you may have to re-do any creative or health work you’ve been tending to, just to make sure you’re getting it all right. October 2013 Monthly Horoscopes- Virgo

Money can’t buy you love. So say The Beatles anyway. I advise you keep that in mind this month, as your financial situation might get a little wonky. Luckily, the month starts out on a nice note- your ruler, Mercury, is in your 3rd house of communication (the house mercury rules!), and on Oct 3rd, it will trine Neptune in your 7th house of partnerships. Communication with your sweetie will be divine on this day. Alternatively, any contract you sign to form a new business partnership will be swimming in good luck. Unfortunately, the good vibrations come to a halt on the 5th, with a new moon in your income house. This new moon will be opposing Uranus in your house of other people’s money, and squaring Pluto in your house of true love. Perhaps you and your love aren’t on the same page regarding a financial situation, or your child has a large expense. Alternatively, funding for a creative project may suddenly go awry. This isn’t such a new influence- Uranus has been sending you surprises in your money sector for 2 1/2 years, and Pluto has been drudging up issues regarding love, children, and creativity since 2008. The two planets have been squaring each other since June 2012, forcing you to confront any issues you have with love and money.
